Westminster Boys Indoor Cricket Finals

Earlier today, ten of our boys from years 7 and 8 made the short journey to the prestigious Lords Cricket Ground to contest the Westminster Indoor Cricket Finals. The boys have been working very hard this year under the guidance of Mr Ramsey and they were deservedly excited about the tournament.  The team faced numerous local schools and throughout the day some fine batting and fielding skills were on display. Major highlights of the day included a terrific 26-run victory over King Solomon school with some excellent boundaries being made by Egor and Aon. The boys were a massive credit to the school, their energy and enthusiasm was perfectly balanced with superb sportsmanship from every student – they were truly great ambassadors to the school. Overall, stand-out players were Rafi for his consistently excellent batting, Rehan for his dynamic fielding skills and possibly the greatest effort of all going to Abdullah for his leadership in the role of team captain. Well done to all involved.
